Occupational Therapy Evaluations
A comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation examines the individual’s strengths, needs, and ability to participate in meaningful daily activities. Depending on the reason for referral, the evaluation may include assessment of fine-motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, coordination, motor planning, self-care, feeding participation, attention, and functional independence.
The occupational therapist will review the findings with the family and provide individualized recommendations. When treatment is recommended, a personalized plan of care will be developed based on the client’s functional needs and priorities.
Individualized Treatment
Occupational therapy sessions are tailored to each client’s age, abilities, interests, and goals. Treatment may include play-based activities, strengthening and coordination exercises, sensory-regulation strategies, fine-motor tasks, self-care practice, feeding activities, adaptive techniques, and caregiver education.
Our goal is to help each client build practical skills that improve confidence, independence, safety, and participation in everyday life.
A Collaborative Approach
Our occupational therapists collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals when appropriate. This team-based approach helps promote consistent support and meaningful progress across environments.
